FUNKY PET NAT - 2020
WIN-PETNAT -Thermenregion / Niederösterreich - Zierfandler - 12%
Winemaking: Grapes growing in limestone & gravel soil in Tattendorf. Wild fermentation, unfined & unfiltered. Thermenregion speciality grape. “Petillant Naturel” or “Methode Ancestral” is a wilder version of a sparkling. Is bottled during initial fermentation (still undergrowing) so the sugars from the grapes provide the bubbles.
Tasting Notes: A very aromatic pet nat with fruit-forward and hints of rose blossoms. Very exotic and light, elegant and a perfect balance of acidity and body. Nice easy elegant bubbles.
The best way to discovered it is… by taste! We feel that it has an impressive potential with a fun factor.
Food Pairings: A seducer for every occasion! Think of canapes mixed flavours and textures. Charcuterie boards, cream cheeses, nuts, apples and strawberries.
Serving Temperature: 10-12°C in a white wine glass.
