Our Story
Since 2010, Marta Vine has done much more than curate a list of wines for the UK trade. We have partnered with pioneering winemakers to create experiences for our clients & their customers.
Guided by Marta’s fantastic Portuguese palate, we set out to find wines that showed off the very best of her home. Marta started with a core of 10 outstanding producers & the journey began.
With the help of Kevin & lots of ‘further research’ (drinking), Marta refined her list to include organic, vegan, natural, low intervention & low/no sulphite wines. This love of all things eco expanded the range to include wines from Austria, France, Spain, Croatia & more!
Working only with smaller, family ran vineyards we can guarantee all our wines will align with your customers eco ethos.

From the first day when I started Marta Vine in 2010 I have loved my job and the people I work with. Portugal is my passion, but so is introducing wines to the UK market that have a positive impact on their local environment and make the world a better place. I firmly believe that it is our responsibility to source, promote and supply climate positive wines to the UK consumer and that’s what drives me every day.
I am always available to chat wines, for new accounts and to do promotional work for my clients. I may be a little crazy but I love my job and I love travelling around the beautiful UK.

We are Portuguese wine specialists who deal with the acquisition, importing and distributing of unique wines throughout the UK to independent wine retailers and to the on-trade. Our specialist knowledge and bespoke service offers real quality and value to the customer in this ever popular market of Organic & Vegan fine wine.
Personal Service: when you buy from Marta Vine we not only supply you with delicious wines with an excellent value for money ratio, you also acquire a team who will help you promote and sell the wines to your customers via tastings, samples, marketing material and other useful support.
Smaller Minimum Orders: we have regular monthly delivery routes and deliver free of charge for all deliveries in that area however, if you’re further afield, delivery charges are either free over a specified order quantity (lower than the trade average) or very reasonable.
Unique Products: not only do we supply great Portuguese wines from lesser known and well established producers, we are starting to source wines from other countries from the Iberian peninsula that offer your customers a unique wine experience.

We are celebrating
our 12th year
We have customers now who have been with us from the beginning and that means a lot to us and we wouldn't be where we are now without you! At the start of a financial crisis we thought we would start a wine importing company to supply wines I loved from Portugal for friends and local wine groups in the North East (good timing......NOT)!
This soon developed into us becoming trade only suppliers thanks to some lovely customers who wanted some new and exciting Portuguese wine on their shelves! Then when Brexit came along we said we would plough on through it and develop our range by adding some select organic/ vegan/ natural wines from other European countries! Then Covid reared its ugly head and we quickly decided to do online tastings with our clients so that people can sit at home and still have some fun!
We enjoy our job.....it is hard work but we love it! We raise a glass to you all to celebrate the 10 years passed. I feel lucky and privileged to have so many loyal customers and friends!
